The generator includes nine ready-made ink colours, but sometimes you need an exact shade — your brand's precise blue, a campaign colour, or a tone to match a letterhead. The Custom colour option lets you set any colour you like and download it. One important note up front: custom colours are for digital downloads only and aren't available for physical stamp orders.

Two ways to set a custom colour

Choose Custom colour at the bottom of the ink-colour list and a small panel appears with two inputs that stay in sync:

  • Colour picker. Tap the swatch and drag across the palette — on a phone you can slide your finger to preview shades live until the stamp looks right.
  • Hex code. Prefer an exact value? Type a six-digit hex code with or without the hash, like #1f9bd1 or 1f9bd1. The picker and preview update instantly.

Whichever you use, the whole seal — curved company name, registration text, icons and the ring — recolours to your chosen shade in the live preview.

Why custom colours are digital-only

A physical rubber stamp is made with a single, standard ink colour, so it can't reproduce an arbitrary custom shade. That's why selecting a custom colour disables ordering and add-to-cart — it keeps the physical product accurate to what the factory can actually produce. For a stamp you'll order, pick one of the standard colours instead; see our guide to stamp ink colours.

Great for digital documents and branding

Custom colours shine when the stamp lives on screen — a coloured "PAID" or "APPROVED" mark, a brand-matched seal on a digital invoice, or a decorative stamp for a personal keepsake. Combine a custom colour with a centre logo and a moved, resized image (see positioning your centre image) for a polished result.

Download with transparency

Your custom-coloured stamp downloads as a transparent PNG, so it drops cleanly onto documents with no white box. As always there's no watermark and no sign-up. Open the stamp generator to try a colour now, or read the full step-by-step guide.
