You design a free digital stamp and a physical rubber stamp in the same place, with the same controls. A physical stamp is simply a subset of what's possible on screen, because a rubber chop presses a single ink colour and can't reproduce photos or hairline fonts. Knowing the few differences up front saves you a surprise at checkout.

What's free and downloadable

On the homepage generator you can design freely and download with no watermark or sign-up:

  • Transparent PNG — drops straight onto invoices, letters and PDFs.
  • White-background PNG and JPG — for places that need a solid backdrop.
  • Any of the nine ink colours, plus a custom colour via hex code for an exact shade.
  • Serif fonts (Georgia, Times New Roman) and an opaque photo or logo in the centre.

What a physical stamp needs

A rubber stamp inks in one colour and can only reproduce clean line art, so three things change when you order:

  • One standard ink colour. The custom hex-colour picker is digital-only and is hidden on the buy page; choose one of the nine standard colours to order.
  • A print-safe font. Serif fonts are download-only; the buy page offers Arial, Open Sans, Verdana, Trebuchet MS and Courier New. See choosing a font for why.
  • A transparent centre image. An opaque JPG photo can't be stamped, so ordering needs a transparent PNG, WEBP or SVG in the centre (an SVG even follows your ink colour). A JPG is fine for a download, though.

If any of these is set to a digital-only option, the add-to-cart button is disabled and tells you what to change — nothing breaks, you just adjust and continue.

Sizes and the print-ready PDF

Physical stamps come in six sizes from 20mm to 50mm, with 22mm the most popular for Singapore companies — see the sizes guide. Orders are produced from your exact design, and a true-size, single-colour print-ready PDF with crop marks can accompany the order. The digital PNG itself is resolution-independent, so it looks sharp at any size.

Moving a design from download to order

Happy with a design on the homepage and want it for real? Use the "Order this as a real stamp" link — it carries your whole design to the buy page, keeping your name, borders, colour and centre image. If the design uses a custom colour, serif font or opaque photo, you'll be prompted to switch to an orderable equivalent first. You can also start from a ready-made template.
