When you order a physical company stamp, the underlying technology affects impression quality and lifespan. Here is how the three main types compare.
Pre-ink stamps
Pre-ink (gel) stamps hold ink inside the stamp body and produce the sharpest, most detailed impressions — ideal for fine curved text and logos. They last for thousands of impressions and can be re-inked. This is the type we supply.
Self-inking stamps
Self-inking stamps use a built-in ink pad that re-inks automatically as the stamp returns. They are fast for high-volume use, though impressions are slightly less crisp than pre-ink for very fine detail.
Traditional rubber stamps
A classic rubber stamp needs a separate ink pad. They are inexpensive and simple, but slower to use and the impression depends on how you press.
Which should you choose?
- Best detail: pre-ink — recommended for company seals with curved text and logos.
- High volume: self-inking.
- Lowest cost: traditional rubber.
