When you order a physical company stamp from us, you are not only buying the stamp that arrives at your door. Your order also comes with a set of digital files that belong to you — files you can use on documents today and hand to any stamp maker in the future. Here is what you get and how to use each one.
The files in your order email
Your order confirmation email contains a link for each of these:
- Transparent PNG — your stamp as a digital image in your chosen ink colour, with no background.
- Print-ready PDF (with cutting guide) — your stamp at its true physical size, with a dotted guide around it.
- Print-ready PDF (no cutting guide) — the same true-size artwork on its own.
The transparent PNG: for everyday documents
Because the PNG has no white box behind it, it sits cleanly on invoices, quotations, delivery orders, letters and PDFs. It is the quickest way to apply your company stamp to documents you send electronically. Our guide on where to use your company stamp covers the common places, and our note on electronic stamps explains when a digital impression is enough.
The print-ready PDFs: for production, now and later
The PDFs are made for stamp production, not for documents. The artwork is drawn at the exact diameter you ordered, in one solid colour, so a stamp maker can produce it without resizing or redrawing anything. The two versions differ only in the dotted cutting guide — read cutting guide vs no guide to see which one to use.
You can also print the PDF at 100% (actual size) and measure it with a ruler to see exactly how big your stamp will be.
Why these files matter for the future
Stamps wear out, get misplaced, or need duplicating when you open a new branch. Because you already hold production-ready artwork, you never have to recreate your stamp from memory or settle for one that is "about the same". You can reorder from us, or give the PDF to another producer — the design is yours. See how to reorder the exact same stamp.
If you uploaded your own design
For orders placed through Upload Your Design, your email links to your original upload and to the adjusted print master — the black, trimmed and centred version we produce from — so you can see exactly what was made.
Keep a copy safe
- Download all the files and save them to your company drive.
- Keep the order email and note your order number.
- Store the PDF with your other company records, so whoever needs it next can find it.
